It is in every idea, product, and interaction.  As an Area Sales Manager, your mission is to increase our customer base and to create profitable sales growth within your assigned territory. You will be part of the Vacuum Conveying division focusing on growth via our channel partners and direct customers in the Western US region.    Key responsibilitiesGrow sales via direct sales and channel partners for all vacuum conveying products and accessories in support of territory goals and objectives. Develop and implement territory business plans in support of company goals and objectives. Document sales activity including customer visits, opportunities, leads and account information through active use of Salesforce CRM and Piab’s Sales Excellence process. Conduct regular monthly Business Reviews with Manufacturers Representatives and other channel partners in support of territory growth. Provide on-site technical support to direct customers and channel partners including start up and troubleshooting activities. Develop and deliver training to direct customers and channel partners regarding new products, application successes, and Piab’s various support tools through webcasts and site visits. Lead joint and direct sales calls based on potential and strategic account value. Collaborate with other Piab divisions, departments and inside partner(s) to cultivate and manage sales activity within the territory to meet individual and group sales quotas.  Participate in Piab hosted annual channel partner meetings, events, and activities.  Assist as needed with trade show preparation, coverage and breakdown. Provide the Vice President – Sales, with weekly and monthly updates about significant territory activity, opportunities, and issues.     In this role you are required to act accordingly to the Piab Code of Conduct and know and follow the Piab values, mission and routines. This role requires travel to Piab, external parties’ and possible global destinations when applicable.   Key interfaces This position reports to the Vice President – Sales,   Vacuum Conveying for the Americas and works closely with the other members of VC Team and other departments central to the company as well as representatives of the Owner, Patricia Industries and the rest of the board.   Skills and AbilitiesExcellent English skills: verbal and written Resilience with a proven track record in reaching sales goals Positive ‘can do’ attitude Proficiency with Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc. General understanding of pneumatics and pneumatic systems Demonstrates strong leadership skills  Experience with online webinar and conference tools (Teams, GoToMeeting, etc) Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus Experience working with Manufacturers Representatives, OEMS, System Integrators and non-direct channels to market  Experience selling industrial production equipment  Strong organizational skills Capable of working independently and comfortable making decisions CompetenciesDrives Results:  while adhering to company rules and procedure,   executes plans with commitment and determination; achieves high quality results Business Development: with a hunter mentality and using self-reliant means, identifies new targets and generates leads Territory Growth:  has a strong positive impact on territory growth and profitability by closing business Initiative & Ownership: acts on own initiative, makes things happen and takes ownership for the results Innovation: contributes innovative ideas and solutions and is not afraid to break away from tradition to try new things; promotes evolution Collaborative teamwork: works well with others; shares knowledge, experience and information; supports others in the pursuit of team goals  Experience and educational backgroundBachelor’s degree in related field. Minimum 3-5 years technical sales experience, preferably in production equipment sales.  Work Environment and Physical DemandsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
