Position: Contract Specialist II
• Contract Specialist II personnel are critical to executing high-volume procurement actions to advance the CDC's workplace safety and security modernization initiative.
• Candidates must independently perform standard acquisition tasks while ensuring all actions comply with FAR, HHSAR, and CDC local policies.
• Previous Integrated Contracts Expert (ICE) experience is preferred.
• Current or previous FAC-C Certification, or a civilian equivalent, is required
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree.
• At least five (5) years of experience in cradle-to-grave contracting
• Demonstrated experience preparing appropriate pre-solicitation notices, editing solicitation files, and documenting market research activities
• Proven ability to assist with technical and past performance evaluation discussions and prepare award documents and supporting documentation
• Experience executing post-award functions, including processing unilateral and bilateral modifications, and completing procurement data reports (FPDS)
• Capable of creating digital file folders and submitting completed electronic files within strict 10-day deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous ICE (Integrated Contracts Expert) experience
• Experience inputting data into the Small Business Customer Experience (ClientX) system
Location
• Work is primarily performed at the contractor's facilities; geographical location is not restricted to Atlanta, GA
Clearance
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearances. National Security work may require Confidential, Secret, or Top Secret clearances, while non-national security work requires appropriate background investigations up to a High risk level based on the sensitivity designation
