Important Note: This is a global posting. Applicants for this job must reside in the Philippines and be legally allowed to work in the Philippines. The position is remote/work from home.
As an Information Security Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of our data and systems. This is a full-time remote position based in the Philippines and will be part of our Engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and manage the company's information security program
Implement security measures, including encryption protocols, access controls, and regular security audits
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as SOC2 and ISO27001
Train staff and foster a culture of data security throughout the organization
Monitor emerging threats and proactively enhance security protocols
Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the secure development and operation of our systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
At least five years of experience in information security, preferably in a technology company
Deep understanding of data protection regulations and standards
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Microsoft Azure
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a remote team
