This is a remote position.
- Assist with pre-op and post-op visits
- Educate patients about pre-op and post-op care
- Support physician during procedures
- Apply sterile techniques and practices
- Provide excellent nursing care to patients
- Review paperwork thoroughly prior to procedure to ensure physical and medical history and other required elements are present
- Assist in discharging patients to caregiver (s)
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPPA compliance at all times
Requirements
- Experience with working with sterile fields and with sterile techniques required
- A minimum of 1 year OR experience preferred for LPN, required for RN
- Experience with IV’s including starting strongly preferred
- ACLS certification strongly preferred
Initial Training: Paid training, most of this will be online and interactive virtual training.
Schedule: Flexibility is required, shifts are generally 8 -10 hours but can vary based on the patient and surgery volume. Need to be available to work mostly Wednesday – Saturday, shifts can start as early as 5:30AM. Notification for schedule provided 1-2 weeks ahead of time.
