The Account Manager is responsible for growing and maintaining strategic customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and providing solutions that help customers maximize the value of their investment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow strategic customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities to expand market share and increase revenue within existing and prospective accounts
- Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding each customer's business objectives and recommending solutions that deliver long-term value and support their success
- Qualify opportunities, develop comprehensive solutions, and prepare detailed scopes of supply that meet or exceed customer requirements
- Deliver compelling sales presentations, negotiate effectively, and close business while consistently achieving sales and profitability objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams and distribution partners to resolve territory challenges, improve customer experience, and drive business growth
- Provide product knowledge, sales training, and ongoing support to customers and channel partners to strengthen relationships and increase market penetration
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience
- 5+ years of successful B2B sales or account management experience, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or capital equipment industries
- Proven ability to develop, execute, and achieve strategic sales plans while driving revenue growth and expanding existing customer relationships
- Demonstrated success managing key accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and building long-term customer partnerships
- Strong understanding of market trends, customer business drivers, and industry KPIs with the ability to translate insights into effective sales strategies
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels
- Knowledge of standard industry sales processes, solution-based selling, and customer lifecycle management
- Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
