Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. MedSys Group is seeking an API Engineering Lead to lead the design, build, and scaling of high-volume C#/.NET RESTful APIs on Azure. The role involves technical accountability for API delivery, driving improvements, and collaborating with engineering and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, build, and maintenance of high-volume RESTful APIs (C#, .NET) on Azure — this is the primary technical accountability of the role
- Drive security and performance improvements across the API layer, applying best practices for public-facing endpoints
- Lead engineering and product teams through 3-week sprint cycles — defining use cases, delegating tasks, ensuring on-time delivery
- Run and participate in stakeholder meetings — communicating progress, surfacing risk, aligning business and technical priorities
- Troubleshoot cross-team and cross-vendor issues (internal teams, Microsoft, D365, third-party vendors), owning root-cause resolution regardless of origin
Skills
- 7+ years hands-on C#/.NET backend development, with demonstrated API leadership experience
- Deep expertise building/scaling RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core / Web API
- Strong OOP, DI, and design pattern fundamentals — able to set standards for a team, not just apply them individually
- Experience leading engineers through Agile/sprint delivery cycles
- Azure App Services, Function Apps, Front Door, WAF — securing and scaling public-facing APIs
- Cross-vendor troubleshooting experience (Microsoft, D365, third-party integrations)
- Snowflake (data layer familiarity)
- GitHub, Postman for team workflow and API testing/documentation standards
- Stakeholder communication — comfortable translating technical risk for non-technical audiences
