The Business Development Director will play a crucial role in driving growth by managing inbound requests and proactively seeking new business opportunities, while ensuring a great customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Having previous experience in the translation, localization, or language services industry
- Driving new business growth and consistently achieving or exceeding annual sales targets across the US region
- Proactively identifying, hunting and converting new opportunities into signed deals
- Generating and qualifying leads through strategic outreach, cold-calling, networking and social selling activities
- Building and developing relationships with future enterprise customers through value-based and consultative conversations
- Demonstrating resilience and persistence, viewing 'no' as a stepping stone rather than a roadblock
- Securing New Bizz focus and long-term customer retention through smooth collaboration with Account Managers and Customer Excellence. As well as involving and collaborating with Onboarding and Account Management teams to secure new accounts
- Understanding and articulating LanguageWire’s services, capabilities, benefits and competitive advantages, and positioning them effectively to prospective customers
- Managing and growing a healthy sales pipeline while maintaining accurate forecasting in line with LanguageWire guidelines and best practices
- Maintaining strong CRM discipline and ensuring accurate pipeline management in HubSpot
- Driving the end-to-end sales process, including proposals, RFPs, RFIs, MSAs, presentations, pricing discussions and contract negotiations
- Representing LanguageWire in strategically important meetings with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Regularly visiting prospects and customers onsite to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities
- Delivering proactive follow-up and value-based customer interactions that build trust and long-term partnerships
Skills
- 5+ years sales experience
- Having a hunter mindset & being result-oriented and competitive
- Driven by results and success
- Excel at prospecting, in converting leads into deals & in qualifying and disqualifying leads
- Understanding of the sales lifecycle - from lead generation through business closing
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets
- Proven ability to be self-driven
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A consultancy tool box (problem solving, analytical mindset, stakeholder management, presentation skills etc.)
- Effective time management
- University degree
- Proven sales expertise and success record
- Experience in the translation/content or technology industry preferred
