They are seeking a Senior Engineer for the Cloud Upgrades team to manage and execute PLM Upgrade projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery while collaborating with global teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage and help execute the PLM Upgrade projects
- Driving hands on execution of the upgrades of PLM Products hosted in Cloud
- Managing different phases of the PLM upgrade projects, from request phase till hypercare
- Motivating fellow project members inside and outside the cloud organization
- Ensuring on time and quality delivery
- Working closely with multiple global teams comprised of Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Applications, Cloud Database and fellow PLM Upgrade Engineers
- Hands-on execution of Upgrades
- Analyzing client requirements
- Designing, building, testing, documenting, supporting and ensuring quality Implementation and Education Content deliverables for the projects assigned to the PLM Upgrade team
- Producing deliverables based on the specific PLM Upgrades Processes and tools
- Creating deliverables for Upgrade projects related activities
- Providing feedback to improve PTC products and services including: PTC software functionality performance, implementation methodology and service offerings, and evaluation of education content
Skills
- Bachelors in a technical field (IT, CS, Programming, etc.) + 3 years of technical work experience
- Fluent in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Must be a US Citizen and have or be able to obtain a secret government clearance
- Deep knowledge with PTC PLM Windchill Product Suit – Especially around the Technical Upgrade Process
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux OS
- Strong motivation to learn new technologies
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Basic networking experience
- Knowledge of bash scripting
- Ability to maintain and implement effective application software on multiple technical platforms using one or more families of languages: Java SE, JavaScript, web services (REST, XML, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Single Sign on technologies like Ping Federate and shibboleth
- Knowledge of Database technologies, Oracle and Postgres
- Basic Project Management Capabilities
