They are seeking an experienced Healthcare EDI Tech Lead / Project Manager to lead complex EDI initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and compliance while managing multiple stakeholders and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage high-risk, enterprise-level Healthcare EDI projects
- Serve as the single point of accountability for project delivery and execution
- Manage up to 20 direct and/or matrixed team members, including contractors and vendors
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies
- Drive project governance, status reporting, and executive communications
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Provide technical oversight for EDI implementations, migrations, enhancements, and support activities
- Manage EDI transaction workflows, mapping, testing, validation, and production deployment
- Support integrations involving ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, and related standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and external trading partners to resolve EDI issues and improve transaction performance
- Ensure secure and compliant data exchange processes
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and trading partners
- Facilitate requirements gathering, solution design discussions, and project reviews
- Manage escalations, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution activities
- Utilize Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies based on project requirements
- Establish project milestones, KPIs, and delivery metrics
- Drive continuous process improvement across EDI operations and project delivery
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, EDI mapping specifications, testing artifacts, and operational procedures
- Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to organizational standards and compliance requirements
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Business, or related discipline
- 10+ years of IT experience with significant exposure to Healthcare EDI
- 8+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise integration or EDI projects
- PMP Certification (Mandatory)
- Strong experience managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Healthcare EDI transaction processing
- Deep understanding of upstream and downstream EDI ecosystems
- Experience with healthcare payer/provider environments
- Expertise in ANSI X12 transactions including: 270/271 Eligibility, 276/277 Claim Status, 278 Prior Authorization, 834 Enrollment, 835 Remittance Advice, 837 Claims
- CEF/QNXT EDI Gateway experience
- Healthcare payer platform experience
- Experience with claims, enrollment, eligibility, and provider data transactions
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- PMI-ACP
- SAFe Certification
- Healthcare EDI Certifications (if applicable)
