Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 360X Staffing is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide support and technical guidance throughout various stages of solar projects. The role involves system sizing, design oversight, and maintaining knowledge of the latest technologies to ensure high-quality and cost-effective project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision, maintain their work schedule, meet requirements of the project schedule, and at the same time be able to take direction from the Director of Engineering
- They should possess great attention to detail
- Individual shall maintain a detailed understanding of products, technologies, and practices related to the construction of solar systems
- The individual should have a comprehensive understanding of electrical requirements as related to solar integration for both commercial rooftop, canopy and ground-mount solar systems
- The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of National Electrical Code requirements and other applicable codes for the installation of solar systems
- They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills to represent the company in a professional manner to internal and external stakeholders
- The individual must be competent in the research and interpretation of standards, code requirements, and Utility requirements
- Candidate should possess the ability and knowledge to create electrical line diagrams and complete the associated calculations for conductor and equipment sizing
- The ideal candidate owns a comprehensive understanding of both DC and AC electrical systems as well as associated equipment, including but not limited to MLPEs, DC combiners, panelboards, transformers, surge protection devices, and transformers
- The individual should be comfortable interfacing with the Utility and designing interconnection schemes to Utility-required specifications
- The ideal candidate should be proficient in running Electrical studies and providing reports including, but not limited to, Short Circuit Analysis, Arc Flash Study, Power Coordination Report, and Grounding Study
- They should be comfortable reviewing solar designs prepared by internal or external solar design teams
- The candidate shall be able to inspect and approve final solar installations for compliance with engineering documentation
- The knowledge of DAS/SCADA equipment highly preferred in the ideal candidate
Skills
- PE licensed, with the ability to obtain additional licensure in multiple states, and have the competence to stamp Electrical IFC plan sets
- 3-5 years of experience in solar and/or commercial project design
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Organized and self-motivated
- Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office or Google Suite programs, and ETAP
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Great attention to detail

- Megawatt design training
- OSHA 10 or greater
