They are seeking a full-time Professional Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic and growing engineering consulting practice, conducting feasibility analyses and electrical design services across various building types.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engineering/electrical feasibility analysis
- Perform electrical studies
- Perform arc flash analysis
- Provide electrical design services on a variety of building types
- Perform field inspections of government, commercial, industrial, multifamily residential, manufacturing, and institutional properties
- Collect relevant information to help perform existing condition assessments
- Create electrical one-line documentation
- Conduct arc flash studies
- Provide engineering recommendations for critical power upgrades
- Assist in electrical/mechanical design
- Perform commissioning design review activities
- Conduct construction verification
- Perform field functional testing
Skills
- Critical power and infrastructure testing and assessment
- A professional degree in electrical engineering
- An understanding of and experience with a variety of electrical distribution systems
- Experience with medium voltage and low voltage power distribution
- Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, NETA, and IECC standards
- Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, Plumbing, IT/Com, etc.)
- Site Survey and Analysis
- Excellent report writing skills, computer and internet skills
- Excellent communication and management skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to complete assignments on-time and within budget
- Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy
- Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills
- BS in Engineering or related fields
- PE Required with Commissioning Certification a Plus
