Lyra Technology Group is a private equity-backed holding company that invests in and operates industry leading technology service businesses. They are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the daily operations of the finance department, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and managing the month-end close process while also assisting in financial planning and analysis activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the monthly financial close processes
- Ensure all journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and within established deadlines
- Prepare the monthly financial reporting package for the leadership team
- Oversee daily accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, and payroll processing
- Monitor daily cash balances, prepare cash flow projections, and optimize working capital
- Maintain a perpetual state of audit readiness by ensuring pristine documentation and highly organized financial records
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors during bi-annual audits
- Continuously evaluate finance department workflows, identifying and implementing process improvements and automations to increase efficiency
- Manage, mentor and evaluate the performance of the finance team, ensuring a high standard of work and adherence to accounting principles
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and month-end close procedures
- Experience managing AP, AR, billing, and payroll functions
- Prior experience supporting or leading external audits
- Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and documentation
- Accuracy and accountability under deadline pressure
- Process-improvement and automation mindset
- Clear communication with leadership and external stakeholders
