[Remote] FP&A Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sardine is a leader in fraud prevention and AML compliance, seeking an FP&A Analyst to join their Finance team. The role involves owning the financial relationship across various business functions, performing budget analysis, and supporting business leaders in making key financial decisions. Responsibilities • Own budget vs. actuals analysis across assigned business functions, with clear variance commentary that drives action • Partner with department heads on headcount planning, vendor spend, and initiative-level ROI • Build and maintain operating models, forecasts, and scenario analyses • Support monthly and quarterly close, including accrual analysis, building and adjusting forecasts, and board/leadership reporting • Develop financial models and dashboards that give leaders real-time visibility into their business • Identify and surface financial risks and opportunities proactively - not just when asked • Leverage AI tools and workflows to increase the speed and quality of financial analysis • Support business leaders in making key decisions about the direction of their organizations Skills • 2+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting experience • Strong financial modeling skills - you build models others can actually use • Proven ability to business partner: translate numbers into narratives, push back constructively, influence decisions • Experience with variance analysis, budget management, and close processes • Comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment without heavy process guardrails • AI-native mindset - you actively incorporate AI into financial workflows and think about how to apply it to analysis, modeling, and reporting • Experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS or fintech company, or a large accounting firm • Familiarity with Rillet, Ramp, or Abacum (or comparable modern finance stack tools) • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Sigma • Experience with SQL Benefits • Generous compensation in cash and equity • Early exercise for all options, including pre-vested • Work from anywhere: Remote-first Culture • Flexible paid time off and Year-end break • Health insurance, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents - US and Canada specific • 4% matching in 401k / RRSP - US and Canada specific • MacBook Pro delivered to your door • One-time stipend to set up a home office — desk, chair, screen, etc. • Monthly meal stipend • Monthly social meet-up stipend • Annual health and wellness stipend • Annual Learning stipend Company Overview • Sardine is a fraud prevention and compliance software company for the digital economy.
