Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Robbins-Gioia is looking to hire an Instructional Designer. The Instructional Designer will identify performance and knowledge gaps of a targeted audience and create effective learning experiences to address these gaps.
Responsibilities
- Designs and executes knowledge transfer initiatives for the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), including the creation, implementation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comprehensive documentation
- Designs and develops online course content tailored to meet organizational objectives and learner requirements, ensuring accessibility and engagement
- Creates engaging and effective learning materials, such as presentations, instructional videos, and interactive exercises, to enhance the learning experience
- Collaborates with subject matter experts, educators, and stakeholders to ensure all learning resources are accurate, high-quality, and aligned with current needs and standards
- Assesses the effectiveness of learning and training materials by collecting feedback and analyzing data, making continuous improvements to optimize learning outcomes

- The ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
- The ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
- Prioritization and multi-tasking skills
- Bachelor's degree in education or a closely related field
- 4+ years of teaching, training, or web designing experience
- Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
- Familiarity with design and learning programs (Adobe, Photoshop, Flash, etc.)
- Excellent communication and graphic design skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
- Ability to operate effectively in remote/hybrid team environments
- NACI or ability to obtain
- Experience working in or with the US Air Force Sustainment Center or US Air Force Research Laboratory
- Living inside Oklahoma City, OK or the surrounding areas
- Master's degree in education or a closely related field
- Experience with LMS, or learning management software
