Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. JRD Systems is seeking an Intermediate Network Administrator to join their Network Infrastructure team in a contract-to-hire capacity. The role involves supporting enterprise network environments, troubleshooting network issues, and collaborating with teams to maintain the reliability and performance of the company's network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, implementation, and support of enterprise WAN and LAN environments
- Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, routing, switching, and infrastructure issues across multiple locations
- Support WAN circuit ordering, provisioning, testing, and implementation
- Assist with firewall administration, configuration, and ongoing support
- Support RF (wireless) network design, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Administer and troubleshoot network authentication services
- Utilize and maintain enterprise network monitoring and management tools
- Participate in network infrastructure projects, including hardware installations, upgrades, migrations, and site deployments
- Provide technical consulting and recommendations during network engineering initiatives
- Document network configurations, topology changes, and operational procedures
- Develop and maintain hardware, software, and operational standards for the network environment
- Stay current on software, firmware, and hardware lifecycle updates for supported network technologies
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation (typically one week every four weeks)
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional IT teams to ensure reliable network operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Experience supporting enterprise WAN and LAN environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, switching, and network connectivity
- Experience supporting wireless/RF infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Cisco switches and routers
- Experience using enterprise network monitoring tools
- Familiarity with firewall administration and support
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical teams
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives

- Experience with load balancers
- Experience supporting large, multi-site enterprise environments
