Hamsa is building the operating system for global finance, and they are seeking a hands-on, highly proactive IT Operations Lead to build and own their global corporate IT function. This role involves establishing systems, processes, and standards to enable a secure and efficient technology environment for a globally distributed workforce.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day operation of Hamsa's internal IT environment across a globally distributed workforce
- Deliver exceptional IT support for employees and contractors across endpoint devices, collaboration platforms, enterprise applications, identity systems, and network connectivity
- Develop and continuously improve IT service delivery processes, SLAs, knowledge bases, and self-service resources
- Manage hardware procurement, inventory, shipping, lifecycle management, repairs, and secure disposal
- Lead onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes, ensuring timely provisioning and deprovisioning of accounts, devices, and system access
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventories and software license management
- Administer identity platforms including Google Workspace, AWS IAM, SSO, MFA, and other enterprise applications
- Implement least-privilege access models and role-based access controls
- Perform periodic access reviews and support audit evidence collection
- Partner with Security to improve identity governance and privileged access management
- Configure and maintain AWS operational monitoring using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, and related services
- Integrate and administer monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic
- Develop dashboards, alerts, and operational runbooks
- Perform first-level operational triage and coordinate incident response with Engineering and Security
- Assist Engineering and DevOps with IAM administration, operational tooling, cloud governance, and cost optimization
- Administer endpoint management platforms including MDM solutions, endpoint protection, disk encryption, and device compliance
- Manage enterprise SaaS applications including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, GitHub, and other business systems
- Evaluate, implement, and manage new internal technology platforms
- Improve automation across user provisioning, software deployment, and routine operational tasks
- Partner closely with Security, Compliance, and Legal to maintain secure IT operations aligned with SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and client security requirements
- Ensure corporate IT controls support internal policies and external audit requirements
- Support security awareness initiatives and secure configuration standards
- Participate in incident response, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity exercises
- Own the onboarding and offboarding process: provision/de-provision AWS IAM roles, SaaS accounts, and hardware; coordinate secure retrieval/termination; maintain access checklists, and enforce security requirements
- Work with Security, HR, and Operations to meet compliance, audit and security monitoring requirements, security best practices and regulatory requirements
- Build scalable IT processes, documentation, standards, and operating procedures from the ground up
- Identify automation opportunities that improve reliability, efficiency, and user experience
- Develop operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting to measure service performance
- Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with technology providers
- Help define the future structure, tooling, and processes of the IT Operations function as Hamsa grows
Skills
- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT Operations, Corporate IT, Systems Administration, or Technical Operations within high-growth SaaS, fintech, or cloud-native organizations
- Experience building or significantly improving IT operations in a scaling company
- Strong experience administering: Google Workspace, AWS, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Enterprise SaaS platforms
- Hands-on experience with AWS monitoring, logging, and operational tooling
- Experience with endpoint management, device lifecycle management, and modern IT administration
- Strong understanding of: Identity management, Endpoint security, Incident management, Change management, Asset management
- Experience supporting compliance frameworks including SOC 2 and ISO 27001
- Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and build processes with minimal direction
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher
- Experience administering MDM platforms such as Jamf, Intune, Kandji, or Workspace ONE
- Experience with Okta or other enterprise identity providers
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and scripting (Terraform, Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar ITSM platforms
- Experience supporting distributed global organizations across multiple time zones
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience and training
