The IT Recruiter Intern will support the technical recruiting process, assist with job postings, source candidates, and coordinate interview logistics, all while gaining valuable experience in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end technical recruiting process to help IT and engineering teams identify, engage, and onboard top tech talent
- Assist with job posting creation and distribution for technical roles (software engineers, web developers, cyber security specialists, and data analysts)
- Source technical candidates through platforms such as LinkedIn, GitHub, and other technical job boards to build and maintain a strong talent pipeline
- Conduct initial candidate screens (technical resume review + short phone/video screens) and document key notes regarding technical competencies for the hiring team
- Coordinate interview logistics for technical assessments, including scheduling, confirmations, calendar invites, and communication with candidates
- Track candidate progress and tech recruiting activity using internal tools (ATS, spreadsheets, project boards, etc.)
- Draft and send professional outreach messages, technical test follow-ups, and next-step communications to tech candidates
- Partner with IT hiring managers and cross-functional leaders to clarify complex role needs, ideal candidate technical profiles, and specialized interview processes
- Support recruiting workflow improvements specific to technical hiring (coding test templates, technical scorecards, tracker updates, process documentation)
- Assist with additional IT/People Ops initiatives as needed (technical onboarding, technical asset alignment tracking, culture, etc)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Communications, or a related field (or currently pursuing)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and professional writing skills (email, chat, video calls)
- Highly organized with attention to detail; able to manage multiple technical roles and deadlines at once
- Comfortable in a remote environment with cross-functional technical teams and varying time zones
- Coachable, adaptable, and open to feedback and continuous improvement
- Professional discretion and ability to handle sensitive candidate information and technical assessments confidentially
- Familiarity with technical recruiting, sourcing, technical talent acquisition, or IT operations concepts
- Basic understanding of technical terms, programming languages, or infrastructure domains (e.g., UI/UX, Web Development, Cyber Security, AI)
- Experience using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
- Comfort with candidate sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub) and/or applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Strong judgment and communication style for delivering a positive candidate experience to technical professionals
- Interest in consulting, tech people operations, technical talent development, or organizational effectiveness
