As a Machine Vision Solutions Engineer, you will lead the installation and support of advanced industrial systems, ensuring successful deployments while acting as a subject matter expert.
Responsibilities
- Lead installation, setup, and configuration of advanced systems such as machine vision tunnels, RFID systems, conveyors, and robotics
- Provide expert guidance on installation best practices, system calibration, and troubleshooting
- Mentor and train junior technicians and customer teams on system operation and maintenance
- Act as the primary technical contact during installations, ensuring clear communication and exceptional customer service
- Conduct site assessments to verify infrastructure readiness (power, networking, environmental conditions)
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues during and after installation
- Perform preventive maintenance and create detailed service reports
- Develop and maintain installation guides, wiring diagrams, and calibration reports
- Ensure compliance with safety standards (Lockout-Tagout, Hazmat, Industrial Safety)
Skills
- Technical four-year degree, but experience in lieu of degree will be considered
- 5+ years in field service or installation roles, with advanced experience in: Machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, Basler, Matrox, Teledyne/FLIR)
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Problem-solving and decision making
- Proactivity and self-direction
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Travel may be required for company events, training, and customer visits
