They are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Director – GitHub Services to drive the growth of their GitHub consulting and professional services business, focusing on developing new business opportunities and managing strategic client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by selling GitHub consulting, implementation, migration, automation, and managed services
- Identify, qualify, and close new enterprise opportunities across multiple industries
- Build and maintain relationships with CIOs, CTOs, Engineering Leaders, DevOps Leaders, and Software Development Managers
- Develop account strategies and execute sales plans to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Collaborate with solution architects, delivery teams, and GitHub specialists to create compelling proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Lead client presentations, solution discussions, pricing negotiations, and contract closures
- Partner with GitHub, Microsoft, and cloud ecosystem partners to generate pipeline and co-sell opportunities
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline using CRM tools such as Salesforce
- Stay current with GitHub products, DevOps trends, AI-powered developer tools, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud-native technologies
- Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and customer meetings
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of enterprise technology services sales experience
- 3+ years selling GitHub, DevOps, Cloud, Application Modernization, or Software Engineering services
- Demonstrated success in selling professional services and consulting engagements
- Strong understanding of GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Advanced Security, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Actions, and DevOps practices
- Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or large enterprise customers
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales quotas
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
- Existing relationships with GitHub, Microsoft, or enterprise technology customers
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Knowledge of Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience working with system integrators, consulting organizations, or managed service providers
