RMG Steel, a part of Granly Group, is a global steel fabrication supplier seeking a Sales Manager to drive business growth in North America. The role involves identifying and capturing new business opportunities while working closely with customers to translate their technical requirements into manufacturable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities across North America
- Prospect actively through direct outreach, networking, industry research, trade shows, referrals, and other business development channels
- Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline for fabricated steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components and constructions
- Target a wide range of industries and applications where RMG Steel’s manufacturing capabilities can provide value
- Develop relationships with purchasing teams, engineers, project managers, operations leaders, executives, and other key decision-makers
- Understand customer needs, technical requirements, drawings, specifications, RFQs, production expectations, and commercial concerns
- Work with internal teams to evaluate opportunities, determine project fit, and support the quoting process
- Present proposals, pricing, lead times, logistics considerations, and commercial terms to prospective customers
- Support negotiations and help move opportunities from early-stage discussions to long-term business relationships
- Maintain clear and accurate internal reports regarding customer activity, pipeline status, quotes, forecasts, and follow-up actions
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, industry opportunities, and potential new customer segments
- Travel as needed for customer visits, trade shows, supplier meetings, and internal company meetings
- Represent RMG Steel professionally and uphold their values of integrity, responsibility, flexibility, respect, quality, and teamwork
Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- Min. 7 years of experience in B2B technical sales, ideally within steel, metals, or industrial manufacturing
- Proven track record of driving new business and revenue growth
- Strong network and ability to open doors with new customers
- Ability to understand and discuss technical manufacturing processes and component specifications
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a lean organization
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build structure and processes as the business grows
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require
- Technical degree preferred
- Experience in steel fabrication, metal components and construction, industrial products, construction materials, machinery, equipment, or related industries is strongly preferred
- Experience working with RFQs, engineered solutions, and custom fabrication is a plus
