Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Inico Recruitment is partnering with a specialty reinsurance and capital advisory firm that is building out its finance function. They need a Senior Accountant to shape their finance function, taking ownership of core accounting and playing a central role in a new general ledger implementation.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of core accounting as operations move in-house
- Play a central role in a new general ledger (GL) implementation - design, configuration, migration and go-live
- Deliver monthly close, reconciliations and reporting across reinsurance entities
- Partner with underwriting, capital markets and external actuarial/audit teams
- Build the processes and controls that scale with a fast-growing platform
Skills
- Genuine insurance or reinsurance accounting background
- Hands-on GL implementation or systems migration experience
- Strong technical grounding and the appetite to build, not just maintain
- CPA preferred but not essential for the right person
