Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. HYR Global Source Inc is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and optimize deployment processes. The role involves collaboration with software engineering teams and implementing Infrastructure as Code to enhance development efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Build and optimize automated deployment processes for applications running in on-premises and GCP environments
- Manage and administer GitHub repositories, workflows, branch protection rules, and repository security
- Develop reusable CI/CD templates, workflows, and automation to improve developer productivity
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or similar technologies
- Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes
- Monitor CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot deployment failures, and optimize build performance
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve application deployment strategies and release processes
- Integrate security scanning, code quality checks, and compliance controls into CI/CD pipelines
- Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes where applicable
- Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting for deployment and platform health
- Document platform architecture, deployment procedures, and operational best practices
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous platform improvement initiatives
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Automation
- Strong hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications
- Experience supporting deployments across both on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- Familiarity with networking, load balancing, DNS, SSL/TLS, and security best practices
- Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
