ALKEME Insurance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead their team of software engineers in the development and maintenance of software products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering and management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers in the development and maintenance of software products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the team follows best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
- Manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery
- Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders and senior management
Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role
- Strong technical skills in software development, including experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of software engineers
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
