They are seeking a Staff Mobile Engineer to lead the development of their mobile application, driving architectural decisions and ensuring high standards of mobile engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of our mobile application, from architecture to shipped features
- Build and maintain integrations with external APIs and third-party SDKs
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex requirements into polished, performant mobile experiences
- Architect the mobile app for scalability, maintainability, and a best-in-class user experience
- Champion code quality, testing, and CI/CD practices specific to mobile development
- Mentor engineers on mobile best practices and act as a force multiplier for the broader team
Skills
- 8+ years of mobile engineering experience with deep expertise in React Native
- A track record of having spun up multiple mobile applications from scratch throughout your career
- Strong experience integrating external APIs and third-party SDKs into production mobile apps
- Mastery of TypeScript in a React Native context, with a proven ability to ship production-grade applications
- A strong background in mobile architecture, performance optimization, and app store deployment
- Experience in fast-paced startup environments where you've built products from zero to one
- Ability to set technical direction and mentor engineers, helping them grow in their craft
- An extreme bias toward action and execution — you move fast, iterate quickly, and get things done
