Aktos is a seed-stage, Vertical SaaS Fintech startup looking for a Staff Platform Engineer who will play a key role in building the Operating System that powers the $18B Credit Collections industry. The role involves maintaining AWS infrastructure, developing scalable backend features, and managing CI pipelines while ensuring a positive experience for credit collectors.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining our AWS infrastructure
- Scalable & Maintainable Backend Feature Development [Python Experience is Required]
- Scalable & Maintainable API/SFTP Integrations [Experience is Required]
- Monitoring and troubleshooting Postgres DB (adding/removing indexes, partitioning/sharding)
- Maintaining developer environments
- Managing CI pipelines and runners
- Setting up and managing alerting systems
- Providing on-call support and guidance to other developers to triage issues
Skills
- 5+ Years of Professional Software Development Experience
- 2+ Years of Professional SRE/DevOps Experience
- Professional experience maintaining/enhancing Kubernetes cluster via IaaC
- Professional experience with Python (2+ years required)
- Strong fundamental understanding and usage of a RDBMS
- In-depth knowledge and hands on experience with AWS
- Solid engineering fundamentals and passion for high quality code
- Product intuition, user empathy, ability to make sound UX decisions
- Strong work ethic, end-to-end ownership mentality
- Terraform experience preferred
- Postgres preferred
