Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a Training and Program Development Unit Manager. This role involves managing the Training & Program Development Group, overseeing the development and delivery of training programs for staff, and ensuring the effective implementation of training initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Managing and providing leadership for the Training & Program Development Group (TPDG) by supervising and motivating staff
- Directing and overseeing work assignments
- Developing new hire training for field office staff
- Creating and managing refresher trainings
- Creating program related trainings informed by audit results and performance metrics
- Creating technical and skill based trainings for DI Branch staff
- Maintaining and updating training materials
- Delivering trainings to staff
Skills
- Prior experience developing, facilitating, creating and supervising the development of training content and materials is required
- State application (STD 678) is Required
- A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is Required
- Experience managing, developing and delivering program training, including instructional design and curriculum development
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and ability to convey complex information clearly
- Experience supervising the facilitation and implementation of training initiatives
- Excellent computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, articulate, and Adobe Creative tools
- Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication, public speaking, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple people and projects independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated attention to detail, flexibility, and a positive, self-starting attitude
